LET GO OF JUDGEMENTS

This is Kelly Orchard’s Apple A Day, 60 seconds on wisdom, success and personal growth.

It’s time to let go of being judgmental and instead, strive to be more understanding.

When you judge others’ opinions, beliefs, viewpoints, and behaviors, it may produce a temporary sense of superiority, but over time you will have undermined all you could have learned by being more open.

Whom do you know in your business or personal life that judges others harshly? Women can be especially guilty of judging other women for their appearance or how their children behave. Differing religions often view other religious views in a negative light. Cultures judge other cultures, generations judge other generations, and the list goes on.

When you make a sincere effort to understand that we all are different—with different backgrounds, beliefs, views and opinions—others will sense your receptivity. Whenever that happens, it opens new possibilities and opportunities for growth.

It’s good to be proud of who you are. It’s good to boost your self-esteem by being understanding of others. So, let go of judgements!

This has been Kelly Orchard’s Apple A Day. Now, go out and be fruitful!
