LET GO AND BE YOU

What prevents you from being exactly who you are?

It’s usually some sort of self- criticism, maybe accompanied by the belief that you don’t deserve happiness, success, or prosperity for some reason. It’s time to let go of self-criticism; it is an ugly feeling.

Little by little, self-criticism can become self-hatred. In turn, a cycle of self-hatred breeds hatred of others, which in turns fuels more self-hatred. When you let go of self-criticism and hatred, you will be more open to self-appreciation and self-love. Loving yourself is not egotistical. It is a healthy attitude toward the good you embody. Value your goodness. You will find yourself coming closer to the true you.

Philosopher Alan Watts wrote, “The attitude of faith is to let go, and become open to truth, whatever it might turn out to be.” The true you might be more than you ever thought you could be.

Let go, and be the you that you are right now! Forgive your flaws, love your quirks. Honor your weaknesses and celebrate your strengths.
